A Smart Wearable Ring Device for Sensing Hand Tremor of Parkinson’s Patients

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a very common neurodegenerative that occurs mostly in the elderly. There are many main clinical manifestations of PD, such as tremor, bradykinesia, muscle rigidity, etc. Based on current research accurate and convenient detection early symptoms key to detect PD. With development microelectronic sensor technology, it much easier measure barely noticeable tremor just one hand for disease. In this paper, we present smart wearable device detecting which MPU6050 (MIDI Processing Unit) consisting 3-axis gyroscope accelerometer used collect acceleration angular velocity fingers. By analyzing time specific finger movements, successfully recognized signals with high accuracy. Meanwhile, Bluetooth 4.0 (Bluetooth Low Energy, BLE) networking terminal ability, data can be transferred monitoring real extremely low energy consumption. The experimental results have shown proposed (smart ring) long-term vital treatment
